Education & Humanitarian Sponsorships
As a TrueToAfrica sponsor, you can make a direct and life-changing impact on a vulnerable child’s future. Whether you provide access to education or humanitarian support, or both, your gift of sponsorship will have a lasting effect on a child’s ability to help their current and future families.
An education sponsorship will allow a child to attend school for a full year and includes a uniform, shoes, backpack, textbooks, medical care, and visits from a Ugandan social worker. A humanitarian sponsorship will ensure that a child has clothing, consistent food deliveries, a mosquito net, and other basic needs.
Your Education Sponsorship
($395/year or $40/mo) provides:
ALL tuition and school fees
A school uniform, sweater, shoes and stockings
Textbooks: Ugandan-published and culturally appropriate
A backpack, blank notebooks, pens, pencils, and math tools
Lunch at School = One Meal a Day
Access to a health clinic and basic medications
Care from a local Ugandan social worker
Your Humanitarian Sponsorship
($395/year or $40/mo) provides:
Clothing: 3 dresses for girls or 3 shirts and pants for boys
Food: delivery of 22 lb of beans or 55 lb of posho, three times per year
Bedding: mattress, blanket, mosquito net, sheets
Access to medical care beyond the clinic
For Young Women: sanitary pads and laundry soap
Annual Family Holiday Chicken and Rice Dinner
As a sponsor, you receive:
Letters from your sponsored child (two per year)
Periodically updated photos and biographical information
Periodic academic updates
An online folder of photos, letters, and more for your child
In addition, you have the option to:
Send your child letters and photos
Provide extra care items for your child and their family
(care items include food, clothing, goats, mosquito nets, and bedding)
